How to use the printed card
Download the blank file and print at actual size on the paper shown in its label. Check that every number and writing line is present before writing anything.
Copy your existing wallet backup in its exact order, in private and away from cameras. A blank card does not create a wallet. Do not type the completed backup into a website, scan it, or send it to a printer.
Check without erasing your wallet
Use the backup-check procedure documented for your exact wallet model. For example, Trezor Safe 3 has a Check backup feature that compares words entered on the device. Follow that device's instructions, not a generic recovery prompt.
Do not erase your only working wallet to try out this card. A successful word check does not verify an optional passphrase, every account, or a multisig configuration.
What the card does not cover
If your wallet uses an optional passphrase, the phrase on this card is not the whole recovery plan. Keep the passphrase recoverable under a separate plan. Multisig also requires wallet configuration information.
Paper can be damaged or read by anyone who finds it. Choose a storage plan based on access, theft and environmental risks. Our paper-versus-metal guide explains the trade-offs.
Frequently asked questions
Can I fill in the PDF on my computer?
No. These files are blank printing sheets without editable fields. Print first and write by hand offline. Keep completed cards out of scanners, cameras and online services.
Can I use this for a 20-word backup?
Use the card supplied for that backup format instead. These downloads have 12 or 24 numbered spaces and do not convert between backup formats.
