Information you should never provide

Do not enter or send a seed phrase, private key, wallet passphrase, PIN, wallet backup, exchange password, or recovery code anywhere on BitcoinSafe. The safety audit and wallet finder do not request or need that information.

Google Analytics 4

The production site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page views, referral sources, guide use, tool completion, and broad device or geographic patterns. The implementation sends page paths, page titles, page categories, and selected interaction labels. It does not intentionally send seed phrases, wallet addresses, balances, email addresses, or other wallet secrets.

Analytics is not loaded on localhost and is disabled when the browser exposes a Do Not Track value of 1. Google may process device, network, and usage information under its own policies. Read Google's explanation of data from partner sites.

Google AdSense

BitcoinSafe may enable Google AdSense on selected content pages. When enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or contextual signals to deliver and measure ads. Ad placements are labeled “Advertisement,” and no ad should appear inside the safety audit, wallet finder, threat-assessment questions or results, or urgent security tracker.

Local tools and browser storage

• The wallet finder evaluates answers in browser memory and does not require identity or wallet information.
• The safety checklist calculates its score in browser memory. Checklist responses are not sent as individual answers.
• The language selector may store the selected language in local storage so the preference persists.
• BitcoinSafe does not currently operate an email newsletter or collect newsletter addresses.

Hosting and security logs

Hosting, content-delivery, and security providers may process ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps, and error information to deliver the site, detect abuse, and maintain reliability. Retention and handling depend on those providers and operational settings.

Guides link to manufacturers, standards, government resources, GitHub, and other third-party sites. Their privacy practices apply after you follow those links. Verify the destination domain before downloading wallet software or firmware.
